Google Meet is an awesome tool to quickly set up an online video call both for individual and commercial usage. It has plenty of features and it’s improving constantly. One of the most obvious features that is still missing though is an option to display a call timer.

There are plenty of Chrome Extensions that can display a Google Meet Timer. However, most of them start counting the time once you join the meeting. And this has a couple of downsides. First, every time you refresh the page, it starts from the beginning. Second, you actually don’t know at which point of the meeting you currently are. You don’t know if it’s getting closer to the end, or if it’s overtime already. Finally, even if there is an option to count the time down, you still have to enter the time manually for every meeting.

Fortunately, there’s free Chrome Extension for Google Meet, that solves these problems.

Meeting Timer - for Google Chrome shows the timer automatically when the meeting has a corresponding event in your Google Calendar. The only thing you have to do is to connect chosen Google account from where you want your Google Calendar events to be matched. And you do it with a single click.
